I'm the founder of Kisumu Greenland FC and the manager/director of it's activities. Our teams and league connect with the community and guide them to realize their goals and find success. I'm a trained Coach, Life Skill trainer in the “Coaching Boys into Men” curriculum, coaches instructor, gender supporter and a passionate community leader who always gives all it takes to improve by helping individuals and the community where there is need. Working with and bringing community together in terms of development is a passion and a call for me to give my life, time, knowledge, family, resources etc. just to bring positive impact with soccer as a tool for education to kids, sustainability to Youths/community and general community development as a selfless leader.

Sharon Nyakiti, Assistant Director of Community Development

My name is Sharon Nyakiti I come from Manyatta Slums. I am a life skills mentor for both girls and boys in Kisumu Greenland FC . Mostly I work with girls in their general girl issues. The main reason why I love working with girls is because I believe when you give one girl a chance for educational opportunity, protection and love the whole community will benefit positively. I was one day given opportunity for education and protection by someone who was not my biological parents and that's why I feel touched with the issues of girls.

Washington “Tony” Omondi, Assistent Mentor and coach

My name is Washington Omondi from Manyatta Slum. I am 20 years of age and currently in college undertaking a course in Automotive engineering. I am a soccer player at Kisumu Greenland FC hoping to be a professional footballer and I also assist in coaching our underage players. Training them is a way of giving back to the community and engaging them in the field helps them avoid bad companies and behaviors in the community. Training the underage kids is enjoyable as I see it as a learning opportunity. As in the field, the young players have different backgrounds so interacting with them enables me to understand how to handle people depending on their behaviors and background. I really love football and enjoy coaching.

William “Morata” Ochieng, Assistant mentor and coach

My name is William Ochieng from Manyatta slums, I am 19 years old. I am in form four high school and am planning to join a college to study plumbing. I am a player at Kisumu Greenland FC and also a player coach of the underage children. I started playing at Kisumu Greenland when I was still in under 12. The reason as to why I help in coaching the young ones is because I know the challenges which they face being I pass through the same. In the field we keep them busy so that they don't get time for bad groups and we also assist them in Life Skill Lessons. I also enjoy coaching the young ones because they will always follow instructions and they are also very discipline which makes me happy.
